Three Priority Public Schools Received Funding to Support Safer Streets

Post

The City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) Green Infrastructure pilot program funded projects around schools that addressed Safe Routes to School needs as well as stormwater issues. The total $2.1 million funded ten schools, three of which (Taft, Westlake, and Fair Oaks) Health Policy and Planning identified in their recent report, Creating Safer Streets Near Schools, Prioritizing Health in Transportation. Improving the walking and biking environment around these identified public elementary schools can make the healthy choice, the easy choice.
