Jovana supports the Health Equity team as a Community Health Planner (WOC). Previously she served San Mateo County Health as both an Intern within SMMC’s Infection Control Department and as a Medical Office Specialist within PHPP’s Vital Statistics Department for over four years. In her current role, Jovana will coordinate external equity infrastructure activities—with a focus on operationalizing racial equity frameworks and community collaboration structures to establish authentic engagement within historically oppressed neighborhoods, race-ethnicity groups, and populations. She comes to the team with a deep passion for health education and community engagement.
