San Mateo County Safe Routes to School (SRTS): Intent to Submit Forms for 2025-2026
The San Mateo County Office of Education (SMCOE) is accepting Intent to Submit Forms for Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Infrastructure and Special Projects for the 2025-2026 school year. Funding, provided by Measure W through the San Mateo County Transportation Authority, supports projects near public school sites to enhance safety and encourage walking or biking to school.
Key Information:
- Deadline for Intent to Submit Forms: February 21, 2025
- Grant Application Release: Early March 2025
- Application Deadline: Mid-May 2025
Funding: Up to $30,000 per project for small capital infrastructure or special projects

Note: Single school applications may not be considered if a district submits on behalf of its schools.
