San Mateo County Board of Supervisors Supports Universal Meals and Public Wi-Fi

Post

The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors recently approved $1 million to support universal meals in San Mateo County schools, which will ensure that all students in eligible school districts are able to access nutritional meals while students are learning remotely.

As the school year begins, most schools are choosing to continue distance learning. Internet connectivity provides a vital lifeline for students and their families. The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors has allocated $2.9 million to a public internet connectivity pilot project to increase access for county residents.
