The Need for Homegrown Talent Pipelines

Providers of essential community needs like transportation and healthcare are finding it increasingly difficult to attract and retain workers, which is negatively impacting services. Across the country, large employers anchored in their communities are fostering homegrown talent pipelines to simultaneously meet their business needs and address their mission to improve community well-being. Get Healthy SMC staff recently shared the “anchor model” with SAMCEDA’s Public Policy Committee and continues to support local employers with adopting these strategies.
