The latest “Making Strides” report is here! It reviews how well each state supports walking, biking, and active communities, showing what’s working well and where improvements are needed. This report is the result of nearly 10 years of evaluating policies, funding, and practices. Created by the Safe Routes Partnership with support from the YMCA of the USA and the CDC, the report gives California a strong score of 174 out of 200. The state excelled in Complete Streets and Active Transportation Policy with a perfect score of 40/40 and scored 75/80 in funding.
