A team of dedicated SMC Health staff are being recognized for outstanding work! The SMC Health Government Alliance on Race and Equity (Health GARE) team received a County STARS Award. The award recognizes programs that contribute to a culture of innovation. Health GARE has worked to: 

1. Normalize discussions about racial inequities to develop a shared understanding; 
2. Organize efforts to advance racial equity; and 
3. Operationalize strategies, policies, and procedures to increase diversity, inclusion, and belonging among the SMC Health workforce.
