East Palo Alto City Council will hold a second reading of a proposed $15/hour local minimum wage ordinance on September 1^st, and the City of Burlingame will hold their first reading on September 8. A recent survey conducted in East Palo Alto showed that 90 percent of respondents support a minimum wage ordinance of $15/hour and many local businesses already pay their workers at $15/hour or higher due to the cost of living.  Confirmation of these public hearings will be noticed 72 hours in advance on the following City websites: East Palo Alto and Burlingame
