The Untold Story of High Cost Housing is the latest publication by the Bay Area coalition of public health departments, BARHII, that analyzes the health impacts that housing insecurity has on family health. One of the key findings is that more than 150,000 Bay Area children under five live in families that are rent-burdened, which means that these families spend more on housing costs that they can actually afford.
