The San Mateo Food System Alliance has been awarded a Farm to School Incubator Project Grant for over $250,000, through the California Department of Food and Agriculture. They will partner with public, private, and community-based organizations to expand education programs and food supply chains. This will link local, small and mid-sized, climate-smart, under-resourced farms and four San Mateo County school districts in low-income communities. They look forward to building relationships between schools and target food producers to and improve the farm to school lunch experience.
