The Behavioral Health Commission is recruiting for 6 vacancies with positions beginning on October 1. The commission recognizes that mental illness and substance abuse are often co-occurring and interrelated, and the commission supports related issues for the community. Apply now!
There is one vacancy for a conservationist on the Agriculture Advisory Committee. This committee actively assists in the preservation of agriculture on the Coastside, advising and recommending to the County Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors. Learn more and apply!
The Farmworker Commission is seeking two new members. It promotes programs and policies that address the unmet needs of farmworkers in San Mateo County. Potential areas of focus include: advising on farmworker outreach; helping farmworkers and their families navigate public benefits and services; raising awareness about labor laws; and helping to build trust and relationships in the County’s agricultural community.
Applications are open for the Youth Commission to address issues affecting youth in San Mateo County and close the gap between adult and youth perspectives. The Youth Commission advocates for youth issues, advises the Board of Supervisors, presents policy recommendations, and creates projects that serve the community.
The Parks and Recreation Commission is accepting applications for one vacancy. The Commission makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on park enhancement, recreational and educational opportunities.
The LGBTQIA+ Commission is searching for two new members. The LGBTQIA+ Commission envisions San Mateo County leading in addressing its LGBTQIA+ community’s diverse needs.
