There is one vacant seat on the Planning Commission for the City of Daly City, four seats and an alternate seat on the Planning Commission, multiple seats on the Public Works & Transportation Commission for the City of East Palo Alto, and multiple vacant seats for the City of San Mateo and City of Redwood City, and the County of San Mateo:  

City of Daly City: There is one vacancy on the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council regarding discretionary development proposals, the general plan, specific plans, the zoning ordinance, and environmental studies. Open until filled. Apply now!  

City of East Palo Alto: There are four seats and one alternate seat on the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission reviews development proposals on public and private lands for compliance with the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance. Deadline to apply: May 19 before 3:00 p.m. Public Works & Transportation Commission Application, there are five regular and one alternate seat on this commission. This committee is charged with advising the City Council on matters related to the adequacy and improvement of all types of public and private transportation within and cross the City and more. Deadline to apply: May 24 before 3:00 p.m. 

City of San Mateo: There are multiple vacancies on the Community Relations Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Planning Commission. The Community Relations Commission provides oversight for Federal grant programs that implement public services, housing, and community development programs.  The Parks and Recreation Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on acquisition, development, beautification and maintenance of public parks, landscape resources, public recreation facilities, budget, and programs of Park & Recreation activities. The Planning Commission is an advisory board to the Council. Hearings are held on elements of the General Plan and changes or additions to zoning ordinances.  Deadline to apply: April 30 before 5 p.m.  

City of Redwood City: Three full-term positions expiring 5/31/28, on the Housing and Human Concerns Committee, this committee promotes affordable housing, monitor changing social needs in the community. There are three full-term positions expiring 5/31/28, on the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission, these positions will actively promote recreation and park activities within the City and make recommendations to the City Council. There are two full-term positions expiring 6/30/28, on the Planning Commission, these positions will recommend to the City Council, for adoption, a comprehensive long-term general plan for the physical development of the City along with other duties. County of San Mateo: There are eight vacancies on the Commission on Disabilities, Open until filled. This 21-member Commission promotes programs that address quality of service and positive attitude about people with disabilities; review and report on availability and accessibility of community services to people with special needs; establish a channel of communication with the community to garner input and educate the public to the needs of persons with disabilities. There are two vacancies on the Agricultural Advisory Committee.  This fifteen-member Committee actively assists in the preservation of agriculture on the Coastside, advising and recommending to the County Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors. The Youth Commission is comprised of twenty-five youth between the ages of 13-21 who reside in San Mateo County as an advisory board toe the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors.
