Weigh In on Two Critical Efforts to Improve Your Mobility Needs

Post

The San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA) is seeking input for its Strategic Plan to help decide how to evaluate projects so that those of greatest merit are priorities for future funding. The TA will administer 50% of Measure W, passed by voters in 2018, that will help fund these projects. Take the survey and say what matters to you! Survey closes July 15. www.smcta.com/Survey.

Another exciting opportunity we wanted to share is that Samtrans officials started the process to update its fare structure. Officials are exploring changes that would increase accessibility to the county’s bus network – most notable would be a cheaper day pass and free transfers. Local transportation leaders are also looking to better understand how new mobility options such as microtransit and express bus service could help the county’s most transit-dependent riders move through the region using healthy transportation options. Last day for public comment on the fare policy is July 10th on the Samtrans website.
