We are excited to announce the publication of the Vision for a San Mateo County Food and Farm Bill Executive Summary. The Vision for a San Mateo County Food and Farm Bill was developed as a roadmap for creating a more equitable and resilient food and farming system in San Mateo County. The framework of the report looks at four distinct sectors of the food system, including: land and rural communities; production; processing; aggregation and distribution; and healthy food access. We have also added food waste given the importance of this final phase of our food system. The first recommendation is to hire a Food Network Manager, which we just did!
