On July 23 – 26, Nupoor Kulkarni, and colleague Morgan Peterson from the Communicable Disease Control & Prevention program attended the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO) conference, NACCHO360, in Detroit, Michigan. Nupoor was selected to present on “Developing a Workforce-designed Public Health Department Equity Plan”. She shared a roadmap with strategies and resources for fellow health officials and organizations to develop equity plans with a twist—design the plan with frontline staff, not just leadership! The PHPP Equity Plan was fully co-designed in collaboration with staff from each of PHPP’s nine programs to center equity throughout the division.
