Creating a More Equitable Food System

Post

California just made it easier to build much needed farm worker housing (AB 1783), which is a critical component of an equitable and sustainable food system. State leaders also are prioritizing the health and well being of our college students (through AB 612, 942, 1278 and SB 173) by making it easier to connect qualified college students to healthy food. The San Mateo County Food System Alliance is working hard to ensure legislation such as these that address inequities across the food system are successfully implemented locally.
