A Closer Look at Childhood Poverty

Post

The Public Policy Institute of California recently released a new report looking at child poverty in California that found child poverty rates for the Bay Area, Sacramento area and Northern California were around 20%. They also identified that Latino children and children with immigrant, young, or single parents are much more likely to be poor. Using this information, we can develop interventions that target the most impacted populations to better address child poverty. Child poverty is closely related to poor health outcomes across the life course.
