Leaders from over 75 health systems across the nation came together in St. Louis, MO to attend the Healthcare Anchor Network (HAN) Convening. HAN partners have adopted the anchor mission to address systemic roots of poor health through local and inclusive hiring, purchasing and place-based investment.

Powerful speakers included St. Louis locals, Dr. Jason Q. Purnell and Rebeccah Bennett. They encouraged equity leaders to not let racial equity work become a performative art but truly drive changes in living conditions. Many leaders emphasized the need for investment in equitable workforce and business opportunities.
