Coming soon! Air pollution refers to both natural and man-made substances in the air that can be breathed outdoor (such as fine particles, noxious gasses, ground-level ozone) or indoor (gases, mold and pollen, tobacco smoke, lead, asbestos). Air pollution is known to cause respiratory diseases, including asthma, and cardiovascular diseases (National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, Air Pollution).
